To date, ten (10) of those applicants have received their Employment Authorization Cards and applied for their Social Security Numbers.
Employment: Business Visitors, Worker Permits, Student Visas
Permanent Residence: Green Card, Adjustment of Status Beginning March 4, 2013, spouses, parents and some children of American citizens who are seeking a waiver of unlawful presence prior to becoming eligible for a ‘green card’, will be able to apply for a provisional waiver while here in the United States. An individual must file for an immigrant petition (I-130) prior to applying for the provisional waiver. An approved waiver does not provide work authorization, a social security number or a driver’s license. An approved waiver would drastically reduce the amount of time the individual must be in another country to process his or her application.
